Why we cross the mountain

Most cleaning companies draw a tight circle around their base and politely decline anything outside it. We took a different decision early on. Brecon sits in our Zone C, which means you pay our standard rates plus a travel supplement, agreed in writing before the first visit and never adjusted without telling you. We think that is the honest way round. We would rather travel further for properties that need us than pad an hourly rate to disguise the mileage, and you see exactly what the journey costs before you commit to anything. For weekly and fortnightly housekeeping we group our Brecon visits together, which keeps the supplement sensible and the schedule dependable.

A market town that keeps its standards

Brecon has a gentility you notice within minutes of parking. The cathedral sits quietly above the town, the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal ends its journey at a basin with Theatr Brycheiniog at the water's edge, and the Promenade gives the River Usk the kind of setting most towns would make far more fuss about. The houses match the surroundings. Georgian and Victorian townhouses line the older streets, kept with obvious pride, and the countryside around holds stone cottages and converted barns that photograph like paintings. Homes like these deserve a domestic cleaner who understands them — someone who works carefully around old surfaces, respects the things you have collected, and turns up when promised. That is the job we drive over the mountain to do.

Our deep and spring cleaning service brings a house back properly: kitchens and bathrooms returned to their best, the inside of cupboards and appliances included, and a photo report sent once the work is finished, so you can see exactly what was done. For second-home owners we open the house up before you arrive, not after — aired, cleaned and ready for the weekend you actually came for.
